Itinerary

On our trip to United Kingdom, we needed to apply for a visa first. To make the immigration process easier, we booked our accommodation through Airbnb and prepared our itinerary in advance. We flew with Malaysia Airlines on a direct flight that took about 14 hours without transit. The journey was very tiring. When we finally arrived in London, we went straight to our Airbnb to rest because we were quite jet-lagged. Near our Airbnb, there was a Marks & Spencer grocery store, so we bought some groceries for dinner that night.

Day 1 - Exploring London

On our first day, we visited Big Ben and then walked toward London Bridge. After walking for a while, we started to feel hungry, so we went to Borough Market.

We bought lots of delicious food such as seafood fried rice, strawberry chocolate, fish and chips, and apple crumble. Everything tasted amazing. We spent almost two hours there just enjoying the food and watching people walk around the market.

After that, we continued walking around the city and exploring different parts of London. We enjoyed strolling through the streets and observing the atmosphere of the city. Later, we visited Donutelier and bought some donuts. The place was very cute and the donuts were delicious. We also went shopping at Primark because my mom wanted to buy a few things, and I bought a few shirts for myself too. By around 5 pm, it was already getting dark, so we decided to head back to our Airbnb to rest.

Day 2 - Architecture, Harry Potter Shop & Food

On the second day, we visited St Paul's Cathedral because we wanted to admire its beautiful architecture. The building is very impressive, and we spent some time just looking at the details of the cathedral.

After that, we went to House of Spells, a famous Harry Potter themed shop. The store sells many items related to the movie, such as wands, scarves, and other magical souvenirs. It was very fun to look around, especially for fans of Harry Potter.

Later, we continued walking around the city, enjoying the scenery. Since our feet were a bit sore from all the walking the day before, we also took the bus for a short ride to rest our legs. For lunch, we ate at Slim Chickens, which is a halal restaurant. In London, it is quite easy to find halal food such as kebabs and even KFC. We decided to try Slim Chickens because it is not available in Malaysia.

Near the restaurant, there was an ice-skating rink, so we stopped for a while to watch people skating. It was fun to see the skaters practicing and enjoying themselves. After that, we continued walking around and bought some souvenirs for our friends and family. Later in the evening, we started to feel hungry again, so we went back to Borough Market and bought some food to bring back for dinner.

Day 3 - Farewell London

On the last day, we packed up our things because we were going to travel to another country. Before leaving, I bought some snacks for breakfast because I was worried we might get hungry during the journey.

London is a very busy city, but I really loved the architecture. The historic buildings and classic designs make the city feel unique and beautiful.

Even though we were tired from all the walking, it was a very fun trip filled with good food, shopping, and exploring the city.
